LANDJUWEEL 2010 CANCELLED
Our annual Landjuweel festival, lately taking place within the contours of the
village of Ruigoord, has proved to be a continued success! Because of the ever
increasing number of visitors the festival has rapidly become too big for the
available space in the village and in the short term a responsible organisation
of the event has become difficult to realise.
So deeply fond as we are of such a unique festival as the Landjuweel, we have decided, in consultation with the management of the Stichting Landjuweel, to cancel the festival this year and to take time for reorientation and reflection so that next year we can come up with a whole new concept for this traditional gathering.
We see the new set-up for the Landjuweel in 2011 and in 2012 as overtures reaching a climax at the 40th birthday of the Cultural Freeport Ruigoord in 2013!
Furthermore there are still, as advertised, six spectacular festivals in the village this season and we are counting on you to be there too!

LANDJUWEEL 2010 GEANNULEERD
De jaarlijkse happening ‘het Landjuweel’ toont ook binnen de contouren van het dorp Ruigoord een overmatig succes. Gezien het gestaag oplopend bezoekersaantal blijkt het festival snel te groot te worden voor het dorp en de organisatie van het evenement ons boven het hoofd te groeien.
Uit diepe genegenheid voor een eigenwijs festival als het Landjuweel, dat niet wegens succes mag ondergaan, hebben we dit jaar besloten tot heroriëntatie en bezinning om volgend jaar met een geheel nieuw concept voor deze traditionele gathering te komen.
We zien de formule Landjuweel 2011 als driejarige opmaat naar een bruisend veertig jarig bestaan van de Culturele Vrijhaven Ruigoord in 2013.
Neemt niet weg dat er dit seizoen zoals vermeld nog zes passende festivals in het dorp plaatsvinden en we rekenen hierbij dan ook op jullie komst.
